The Guernsey Disability Alliance is, first and foremost, a campaigning group who work in partnership with the States of Guernsey to help make policy changes that will improve the lives of disabled islanders and carers. The GDA was formed in 2008 and its membership includes representatives from over 30 local disability charities, plus individual disabled people, their families and the professionals who support them.
Their mission is equality of opportunity for disabled islanders.
Guernsey’s first Disability and Inclusion Strategy has been published and was debated by the States of Guernsey. Hundreds of supporters turned out to show their support, including some of our own students with their parents.
