Home Learning
We recognise the importance of supporting students to continue learning beyond school and take a holistic approach towards this, valuing life skills and social / emotional development as well as core functional skills.
We encourage students to extend their learning by providing opportunities to reinforce what they are doing in school. All students have access to a range of digital learning platforms and have individual logins for these. This may also be supplemented by more formal activities. In Years 7&8 there is also an interactive Home Learning Portal with suggestions/advice for extending learning beyond school.
Digital Learning Platforms
Times Table Rock Stars is a website and app for practicing times tables facts and number fluency. It's matched to student ability and presented in an engaging 'Rock Star' style. We recommend a few minutes of regular practice each day to reinforce and improve recall of multiplication and division facts.
